todo:
- Install SMGL.
- Install DR17. See the Gentoo howto, at:
  http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_emerge_e17
  - Ah: fuct that! DR17 is heavily binary-bound; which is great for
aesthetics, but makes it fuck-all impossible to tweak out. (Next!)
- Install FVWM, then FVWM-Crystal as the FVWM theme upon which to base
my own. Indeed, FVWM-Crystal is merely a theme (...albiet, a heavy one).
- Install DARCS. Clearly, it has the heavy leg-up on SVN; and, an
"algebra of patches"? Wicked c00l. Oh, holy shit - it doesn't even
require a disparate server system! Good Lord. I can host it on
freeshell.org: and therefore obtain immediate, version-controlled
  history.
- Install *modular* Xorg. (Currently in beta; but, obviously, the path
  forward.)
- Install Andrew Morton's mm-kernel, with ReiserFS4 as the backing store. (Yum.)
- Create an SMGL Live Generator, for generating an SMGL LiveCD post the
production and relative finalization of my kernel, and such. This could
provide, additionally to the Darcs repository, a wonderfully innocuous
long-term backup. (As well as being a bootable, rescue LiveCD...)
- Install an MTA. There are two choices: Postfix and QMail. Both support the
Maildir format, of course; unfortunately, QMail's configuration is largely
unreadable. (...so unreadable, in fact, that this is the principal reason
people switch away from it.) Go Postfix! Yay.
- Bloody PAM. I'd rather not install it; but, clearly, it is the Linux way.
